VisionWare Ltd, a leading provider of Master Data Management (MDM) solutions, today announced that Surrey County Council has selected their Local Children's Data Hub to achieve a 'Local Best View' of children's data held within multiple source systems.
Surrey County Council Children's Services Department serves approximately 262,400 children, and currently uses a number of separate data sources to access and record information relating to these children. The Council required a solution that would provide a single view of each child's history as well as supplying this single view to ContactPoint in the format required by the Department of Children Schools and Families (DCSF).
The Council will be using the Adaptor and Hub solution, part of the VisionWare ContactPoint Adaptor Framework, to meet their requirements for ContactPoint, as well as supporting the drive within Surrey to:
VisionWare's ContactPoint Adaptor Framework offers two solutions to organisations and their partners connecting to ContactPoint, with incremental functionality depending on the methodology they wish to adopt. These options have been designated as Silver and Platinum versions, and each seamlessly connects and supplies data to ContactPoint in the approved file format.
VisionWare's Platinum ContactPoint Hub and Adaptor rationalises child data from disparate source systems into a local best view as well as transforming the data and supplying it to ContactPoint in line with DCSF requirements.
With each version of the Adaptor, VisionWare provides a Data Analysis and Profiling Application to identify and highlight inconsistencies within the datasets, a Transformation Engine to transform source system data into the ContactPoint schema, a ContactPoint Adaptor to validate messages prior to sending to ContactPoint, and a ContactPoint Gateway to store all messages sent to ContactPoint along with any responses. In addition, an Administration Console is provided to schedule actions and update system settings and for viewing and filtering discrepancy reports and stop notices, along with a ContactPoint Web Viewer to view information held on the National ContactPoint system.
Willie Clinton of VisionWare commented "We are delighted that Surrey has chosen our Platinum ContactPoint Adaptor and Hub. With a number of disparate data sources holding information on children, Surrey wanted to create one single, accurate and up-to-date view of each child before submitting information to ContactPoint, and we look forward to working with them to provide this."
